Due to occupational obligations we normally aren't able to attend the 4 Crown Nationals but this year was a welcome rare exception. We've attended 3 prior to this year-2002, 2014 & 2017. This year was, by far, the largest spectator attendance we've ever seen for the 4 Crown. Car counts exceeded expectations. The racing was, by far, the finest we've seen at the 4 Crown. The weather was outstanding, as well. All things considered, this years' edition of the 4 Crown was undeniably an open wheel racing fans' dream come true.

The only aspect of the event with which we remotely find fault, with the emphasis on remotely, is the lateness of the Saturday night conclusion. We were camped within just a few miles from the speedway so the late night was not a down side for us but I could understand how it could be for folks who bring younger fans or have an extended drive home. Maybe consider starting an hour or so earlier?

This event seems to have picked up considerable steam over the past few years and let's all hope that trend continues for years to come!!
