The heats were awesome too.

Barry Tibbets as I know him used to work on Staab's car in the later years and also work the track with Greg and here in the last couple years has come to own three sprint cars. About a month ago he picked up a fourth from Mike Webber who's been basically all mods for the last year or so. It was a No22 black car, I don't know if it ever cracked the top ten. Seen one other driver run it besides Webber and I don't think it cracked the top ten then. I knew it was a good car. Just didn't know if it was capable. Word comes out Thursday that DD would run Paragon and then Burg in the Tibbets car.

LBurg was on the wall in the heats (Kinda rare) and DD won his heat, which put him in the redraw, which got him the pole. Tmez. Well Tmez is Tmez. If he could have won, he would have. But I don't think anyone has more laps inches from a wall at Eldora and Kokomo and a dozen or more tracks around the US than DAVE DARLAND.

First nine laps, DD on the wall, Tmez hounding and pulling along side at corner exit. Yellow on lap nine for a great running in third Travis Hery spin.

After the yellow all hell broke loose, and five cars were battling for the lead where at times Westfall had the lead at corner exit. Hewitt, Tmez, DD and Westfall, Somehow some way DD came out in front on lap thirteen. Tmez hounded and tried several different things and hung with him. Lap Sixteen on DD began to gap him and ended up wth a straight away lead.

Other notables, B main winner Abrams came from 17th to fifth by gong high the first few laps while half the pack ran low. Justin Owen came on late and on about lap 19 I seen him pass three cars going down the back straight and thinking, He's never going to make it without hitting the wall. Finished sixth.

Thanks for everyone that came and raced tonight, The track staff and crews.

Mod race was a battle royal on the wall between Kyle Herbert and Matt Hamilton and Herbert seem to have the race won until a lap car was in the high lane and made him switch his line. Hamilton got by and won. Both cars were throwing sparks from the back of the quarter panel more laps than not off the wall. JUST INSANE.

BTW, The lap car they had to pass, MIKE WEBBER DD's former sprint car owner.

Oh and I think Moffatt might have taken the point lead or tied. IDK, Have to wait for Sandy's results.

GREAT NIGHT, iNSANE racing. Champions niht and USAC LBurg fall nationals for the burg left.

Great to see Jimmy and Tonya Hillgass, Mailman and a host of others.

Night
