I'll give your questions a shot:

1. I've always driven down from Kansas, but I can't imagine you'd have any trouble using either Uber or the local taxi service. I believe there's also a shuttle that runs from one of the Casinos. River Spirit Casino, I think. It may depend on where you're staying as to its convenience for you. The Chili Bowl office may be able to give you some information about any shuttle service.

2. Single tickets are hit & miss. Keep your eye on IOW. It seems there are always single tickets posted for sale. There's always the option of buying a pit pass and finding a place in the stands that run from turn 2 to about halfway down the back stretch, plus a small stand in turn 3, but if you're early enough to grab a seat in the turn 3 stand, you'd better be prepared to defend it. It's definitely best to have a reserved seat if you can score one.

3. There isn't really a bad seat anywhere. I prefer the front stretch, but that's just me. I know others who swear by the turn 3 & 4 grandstand. I sat there one year, and didn't particularly care for it. Obviously, the turn 3 & 4 stand puts you farther from turn 1 & 2 action, but with the possible exception of certain positions on the backstretch, you have good views of the entire track from anywhere.
