I had a great time! I LOVE sprints and midgets on asphalt. Dirt is great, too - but the pavement really does it for me.

Roarhig was fast qualifier, I think, and came from 10th spot for the win. ...

8/1 Lucas Oil Raceway - OW "opening day"

I have some free tickets to the "Open Wheel Opening Day" races at Lucas Oil Raceway Park coming up on August 1.

The LORP website says there will be USAC National Pavement Midget and 500 Sprints.

the leader board in T2 helps alot. But it gets confusing keeping track of which cars are in the top 5 because they havn't pitted yet and still need to. I wish the scoreboard would provide more...

There was one individual that visited the ambulance outside the track to be treated for an injury from being hit by a rock. Pretty good cut to the nose I was told, but treatable with just a bandaid....

I see in the Hoosier Hundred last night that at least one car got into the main event on a provisional.

The cars do have two-way radio communication. I have been able to pick up some of the cars by scanning frequencies until I hear a communication. But then you never know which car you are listening...

I prefer to sit on the backstretch. I always try to sit on the upwind side of the track and the back straight is on the south side - i.e. rarely on the downwind
