According to the Powri website the rescheduled Knepper Memorial at Belleville will be this Friday night. Hope the weather cooperates.

I think you have to balance the payout against the cost to enter/race. We always totaled up the cost of entry fee/pit passes/tires/fuel and placed that against the payout and looking realistically...

Wife of Don Figler passed away

The Wife of well know open wheel, Speed Sport News Photographer, Don Figler, passed away yesterday. Don is often seen in the infield wearing his SSN vest and slouch hat. There will be no services.

Using the basic black or white is Ok but for the fan to know which driver is running where, it would be nice to have a different color design or number on the nose and tail and the right side panel....

Flagman Johnny Slawson used to do it in the late 50's for St. Louis Auto Racing Association only he would stand in the middle of the track and they would split 2 and 2 on each side of him.

Just a few tips for those who haven't been there yet. Count on it being cold. They do open the big door and the walk thru doors for cross ventilation between races. Bring your ear plugs and safety...
