Re: Cage Lights

Only problem with RaceCeivers is that I guarantee you someone doesn't have theirs on, plugged in right, on the wrong channel or something of that sort, and you see them flying down the frontstretch...

Re: Cedar Lake Speedway, Greensburg, IN

I was able to find where the track is today and took a drive out that way. With some help from friends, I know who owns the property and such, but it's now a farm and without walking out there I...

Cedar Lake Speedway, Greensburg, IN

Anybody have any information on this track? Was apparently run in the 50's and had Sunday Afternoon racing. Read it was on Millhousen Rd.

Thanks for any clues. Hope to find this place soon...

Re: Knoxville Raceway - 2017 Schedule posted.

Not trying to stir too many pots here, as Iowa fans love their racing but when I've visited Iowa they've believed that the Silver Crown cars were non-wing sprinters. Some also thought USAC was a...

Re: Silver Crown Spectacular at Terre Haute

I guess the intended sarcasm wasn't understood by your kind. Exactly what makes me special?

Re: Silver Crown Spectacular at Terre Haute

Being well under 20 I suppose then my opinion may be stupid, uninformed or I may be just out of my mind, but each car to me has it's own unique things that make it fun to watch.

Come talk to me in...

Re: Silver Crown Spectacular at Terre Haute

Considering a decent Indy Lights ride currently costs over a million, not a chance that will happen sadly. At no fault of their own, most of these drivers have never run a road course outside of...

Re: Eldora & Usac

I'm guessing you don't understand the concept of open wheel racing then, just use a little sense. In terms of women, you may not like their face, but you're not gonna walk up and say it in person...

Re: Eldora & Usac

Winged or not winged, who cares? Anything that can be complained about on here will be and it's a freaking shame. To throw a fit about a car having more downforce than another is something childish...

Re: Usac/boss/nonwing

40% of those cars may not be able to make a bigger USAC show, but those drivers sure as hell could. There's a lot talent that runs with BOSS week in and out. God knows if they ran at Kokomo it would...

The Cushion said on Twitter they will not be filming Friday as they'll be headed West. Not sure if anyone else is.

I heard it's only emergency transit. If so, wouldn't that mean no race? :7:

Re: Differences between USAC Sprints & Silver Crown cars?

In the Silver Crown cars it's mandatory to have a 2-way radio with the crew and a spotter. Also believe that because of the extra large tail tank the seat is a little more forward than a sprinter.

What Makes Kokomo so Special?

Hi all,

Writing a piece about the Smackdown and Kokomo Speedway and am curious to the general take on Kokomo and what makes it what it is. I've visited there a few times myself, but am curious...

Re: Lack of cars on pavement

Back in July, they had the HOF/Vogler at IRP. Good weather and they even had vintage cars and late models testing while the SC's weren't on track. Ryan Newman was there running and it was a big...

Re: T-Mez: Got this off his FB page. Should be Mandatory in

The only way to make racing 100% safe is to not race at all, to not be at the race track at all. It was a freak, tragic accident and the entire racing community cannot go crazy about what should or...
