Re: ASCS: Seth Bergman Destroys ASCS Sooner Competition At C

Had a great evening. I'm a non-wing guy but in any sprint car race you don't start 15th and win a 30 lap race without putting on a hell of a show. Saw a fight in the street stock race and got...

Re: Something different. Sprint races at tracks most never

WOO at the Indy Mile. Greg Hognett clipped the inner rail in turn one and went for a 160 mph flip that took out several other cars. I don't think the WOO ever went back there.

A couple of...

Re: Sprint car and midget question

Sure hate to see it go as the lineage of Sprint Car & Midget and Open Wheel before that goes back 40 years. I think I have all of them. That's a lot of great printed history of our sport.

Re: USAC National Sprint Cars - 2023 Schedule

Interesting that the national sprint cars end the season in Oklahoma. The midgets have raced here now for several years including when USAC sanctioned the Chili Bowl and I was lucky enough to see the...

Re: Chase Briscoe gets his first career cup win.

Congratulations. Great to have an IOW alumnus in victory lane on a national stage.

I remember his early races at Paragon. Got some of it on tape.

Re: Usac: Pursley procures first usac national midget win at

Thanks Red Dirt Speedway for bringing the USAC midgets to Oklahoma. Wonderful track and a stellar field of cars and drivers. Can't wait until 2022.

Re: Charlie Glotzbach

One of the all-time best racing nicknames. Runner-up at the Daytona 500 twice. The most successful Hoosier during the golden age of NASCAR.

Nice guy too. RIP

Re: FloRacing Thread

Just signed up in June and very happy with the selection, graphics and announcing. But the Hoosier 100 sure showed the folly of trying to cover 32 cars on a one mile track with ONE camera. Not one...

Re: Usac: Usac sprint winner, 4-time indy starter, hulse pas

Got the opportunity to talk to Mr Hulse at the 500 memorabilia show at the fairgrounds many years ago. He told me the details of the last lap crash that AJ had to drive through to get the checkered...

Re: Usac: Red dirt usac midget results: 7/9/2019

Thank you USAC & Oklahoma for providing a strong 36 car field. Thank you Red Dirt Speedway for a dust free-two groove track. Thank you safety equipment for keeping drivers safe during a couple of...

Re: Usac: Usac midgets tuesday night thunder at red dirt rac

Doesn't sound from the article like C Bell will be able to race this year but Bacon and the rest of the Okie Posse stand ready to defend home turf. Heading that way in a few hours.

Re: Usac: Bell scores kunz’s 100th usac midget win at usac’s

I lived in Indiana from 1988-2013 so I've seen my share of USAC midget races on a dozen different tracks and I can honestly say last night's race was simply outstanding. Wicked sliders, two racing...

Re: Daytona crowd so small today

Nobody goes home Thursday because, for their biggest race, they only drew 40 cars for 40 Daytona 500 slots. As late as 2002 they had 54 entries.

Re: We honor "Racin' with D.O!" (2018)

As soon as I moved to Indiana in 1988 and bought my first camcorder I knew D.O was "the man." He knew EVERYBODY. It was a pleasure to work alongside you and talk racing during the down times. You are...

Re: Usac: Dan gurney, 86

Have a 1967 Le Mans poster signed by both AJ and Dan. Legend doesn't come close to describing his career in auto racing.

Re: RIP Jim Nabors

The 500 is all about tradition and Jim Nabors was one of the quirkiest. But a favorite of mine.
I hope his tradition is built upon by inviting Jim Cornelison, who just nailed the song this year,...

Re: Danger is my middle name - 1999 indiana short track film

Andy Hurtubise is the green car at the end flying off Bloomington's 4th turn. Super nice guy who sent me a Christmas card for providing him a copy of his crash.
