Re: Western World Championships Will Live On!

It's a shame thats all the tracks were willing to pay for the prelims.

But we can blame that on USAC too

Re: Gold Crown Story on Speed

People complain when the owners aren't consulted. People complain when the owners are consulted.

Just another Tuesday for the United States Auto Club.

Re: Western World Championships Will Live On!

That "reasonable sanctioning fee" is probably damn near nothing considering the hard-on Emmet has to stick it to USAC

Re: Darren Hagen

Dumb rule.

You have to be told to slow down to avoid a spinning car? You probably shouldn't be racing then.

Think nothing of it, Larry, most of us are used to Eckerts not knowing what they're talking about.

Re: Winning by Judgement

Fighting is great.

If you have the mental acuity of a 7 year old.

And people wonder why short-track racing has the image it does.

Re: Winning by Judgement

If no calls are made then it's anarchy; a free for all and you have a pit area full of wrecked race cars at the end of the night.

If it happens during the race, you apply the appropriate penalty. ...

Re: Winning by Judgement

So Tim, if I'm getting the gist of what you're trying to say, are you saying it's okay for anyone to bulldoze the leader on the last lap with no repercussions whatsoever?

Re: Why Must SC Have Steel Blocks?

The Toyota Silver Crown motor is based on the motor from the Camping World Truck Series.

A couple of issues that might arise from running 410 motors in Silver Crown cars are straightaway speed and...

Re: Would you?

1) The Mopar Million only drew 70 cars for $200,000 to win. The World 100 only pays $37,000 to win and regularly draws 200 cars. What incentive is there to pay the extra purse when the car count...

Re: What race would you like to see happen?

Tracks already complain about paying a $20,000 purse for a one division event, what makes you think they'd line up to sign up for a purse twice that, at least, for two divisions?

There's...

Re: USAC Video stream

To give you an idea about how little 30,000 is, they wouldn't even register on the Nielsen guide and that's not good for sponsors.

Re: One more chance to catch Manzanita on the tube this sunday

You can notice a difference?

Ken Stout would scream his lungs off, if it was a wheelchair race.

Listening to him during the final days of ASA on Speed was the worst.

Re: Bad News from out West

Building a track on a reservation is about as stable as building a racetrack a mile from a 20 year old housing community.

I shouldn't really go into details but if you need any examples, look at...

Re: Midget Org Announces New Tire Rules

If I read that correctly, is Don's new tune that he thinks sanctioning bodies are going to control what AR and Hoosier charge for tires?

God, it gets better and better, each and everyday.

Re: Greg Staab Q&A on Hoseheads.com

They need to get over it.

This is new management and the new management is on the chip about making the old cars work.

Of course the new management is 100% about business. They won't hang on...

Re: Well it looks official, Non Winged Sprints at the DTWC

A horrible decision on many accounts.

The Sprint Cars are an unnecessary addition to the DTWC. There's plenty of other opportunities for good, high-paying sprint car races. Don't water down a...

Re: A question about USAC Video???

Since the video is played on the IMS' servers and no one rarely has a problem accessing IRL broadcasts, are we to believe more people are trying to access the USAC broadcasts than the IRL broadcasts?...

Re: Live video now up from Perris at www.usacracing.com

This is a huge upset. Too bad it won't get the recognition it deserves because it's a California car.

He straight up out drove Sweet on the restart.
