Re: Possibly looking at starting a spec engine Sprint divisi

I get very nervous when someone tells me I will save money by buying something new, and that same person is the one who will sell it to me.

The last person that should be consulted when...

Re: Clauson Departs TSR!!!!!....WOW..

I would think (and hope) that if Tony had a big enough beef with USAC to make him just drop out of the series, that he would have said something to them. Then, if they were not responsive to him, he...

Re: Car Colors

Paint is a hassle and an expense on something that on any given night might be trashed.

What I would rather discuss is how come I can't read anybody's name on the side of the hood?

It's either...

Re: Gas City Seats

Gas City, or any other track, could paint numbers on the benches, and sell reserved seats for a buck or two more. Could also sell season tickets.

Problem solved.

Re: torsion bar bushing material

I wondered the same thing. For what it's worth...I was at a WoO show, and looked at Sammy's car. I figured maybe bronze at the rear arms, plastic every where else. He doesn't pay for this stuff, and...

Re: 8 tracks in Indiana join alliance.

I said this in an earlier thread, and I'll say it again...

Humpy Wheeler was the guy that said "Women won't like dirt tracks because the dirt will mess up their hair-do".

Please note:...

Re: WoO at Terre Haute

JT, The WoO at Terre Haute is the only big track I'll go see them at. You know how they get strung out on a big track? Doesn't matter at Terre Haute. Pure awesome, even one car by itself. Hammer...

Re: KAMP SPEEDWAY REOPENING 2014! Bank excepted offer & MORE

Re: Question about Josh Burton for College senior thesis

I have thought, for the last couple years, that sprint car racing, wing or non-wing, could use a scholarly, medical, forensic analysis of crashes/accidents. Not only for reasons why drivers passed,...

Re: Humpy Wheeler's new idea

Isn't he the one, a few years ago, who said women will never like going to a dirt track because it will mess up their hair-do?

Re: Tire Disposal

Some cities or counties have annual or semi-annual white goods (fridges and air conditioners) recycling, and they will include used tires.

Call your county office and they'll direct you.

Where...

Re: Shipping Suggestions

I've seen cars that were banded down to a skid. Fasten on the body panels, bolt and tape all the stuff together, then band it down. As long as they can get a fork lift to it.

You can wrap it in...

Re: May 27th World of Outlaws @ Lawrenceburg

If the WoO allowed non-wing sprints to be run as a support group, instead of modifieds or street stocks, no one would ever go back to see a WoO race.

Re: If I Win The Lottery…

On second thought, I'll myself one of those big ol' Napcar haulers,...
