Re: East Bay - High Limit Sprint Cars. 56 cars in attendance

I would expect a good car count early in the year with this being the Florida swing. Everyone should have fresh equipment and fresh sponsorship money.

Let see who and how many are still around...

Re: Announcers so far

I'm amazed by the amount of @$$ kissing of certain announcers done by keyboard cowboys, while other guys, many of whom are well qualified, do their homework and aren't over the top screamers, get...

Re: Taking Over The Helm Of GC...

That might have required intelligence, hard work and money, not just typing skills.

Re: Kudos to WoO & DIRT/UMP

I think it's outstanding. I can't understand why shows drag out when its not necessary. Other than weather, a delay for an accident, or other such circumstances there is no reason for any show to...

Re: Srx

It was a gimmick, made for TV. If anyone expected anything else they set them selves up to be disappointed. However there were a lot of folks who were entertained by the series. Moving o ESPN was...

You just might be too smart to be a member of an internet forum. Too much logic and reason. :D

Re: Home Track

My home track was torn down in 1988 and I've not found one like it since. Oh there are other tracks I really like, but none like home.

Re: Details on the High Limit Racing charter system by 2026.

Not sure how you grow it if there is a corresponding drop or stagnation in actual attendance. AUto racing also has to show some type of community benefit in order to be accepted. The old rule of 1...

Re: New Promotion Team At Terre Haute

Great news

The fair board is eventually going to run out of promoters to piss off.

Re: What makes Larson so good?

Larson is good because:

He has good equipment
He had good people working for/with him
He is smart
He has a competitive nature and prepares himself to win
He makes few mistakes

Frankly I've...

Re: Daugherty Speedway

[QUOTE=Charles Nungester;569982]Sad truth is there are too many tracks for the amount of cars and fans out there.

Another one bites the dust. I'd agree with Chuck to a point, yet the closing of...

Re: What would it take for USAC to be as big as the WOO?

$$$$$$

Sadly USAC lost this battle a long time ago-the WoO brand and name still draws fans (and drivers). People are willing to pay $50 for a WoO race. Very few would pay $50 for a USAC race.

Re: MSCS Series disbands

I wonder if Kevin Newton's new winged series won't come in and fill in some of the void.

Re: Kokomo?

It was a heavy, quick and somewhat tricky track tonite. The O'Connor's did a great job to get this in.

Shane Cottle had Epperson's car humming and Ballou was elbows up tonite. In fact the...

So, Chuck, it looks like you were spot on as the track website now aligns with the Facebook post and your original post. Thank you for passing on accurate information. And frankly, you're owed an...

Re: LPS MAVERICK WINGED SPRINTS & Bombers 10/6

I agree, most winged shows I see the winner of the heats comes from the pole or the front two rows, generally. Only time I see someone come from the back using passing points is if a really fast guy...

Re: Off Topic. FIA approves Andretti’s F1 Application.

Good for Michael, I guess. They weren't exactly welcoming when he was a driver and he and Sandy didn't endear themselves in Europe, either. Hopefully he's learned from that experience.

I wonder...

Re: Mike Hess Leaves the Outlaws

Thats a loss for WoO. And if Mike has no other plans, a loss for the sport. A racer and businessman who was very good as the WoO Race Director, and a good guy to boot.

Re: 4 Crown

Racing starts at 7, not 8. Simple as that. No reason to start at 8. If it is delayed by accidents, weather, so be it.

It isn't so much the late hour, it is the drunks like yourself tooling...

Re: Haubstadt Hustler

You may understand it, but doesn't warrant what he did. He has a problem settle it at the trailer when both are out of the car.
And, USAC has a director of competition, right? And a flagman,...
