Re: AFT on Flo

Peoria is on my bucket list. Has been since I saw it as a kid on Wide World of Sports.

AFT on Flo

I am glad that Flo added AFT to their line up. That is great racing. Have seen them back in the day at Kokomo, the Indy Mile, and Eldora. Back in the Camel Pro days.

I thought it paid pretty good. I don't remember the exact amount.

Re: Little 500

I was sitting with 2 highly respected promoters 4 years ago. They were amazed that the insurance company hadn't shut it down.

Re: Taking Over The Helm Of GC...

If you take banking out, the wall doesn't match up to the track. If you make it flatter the top of the wall sticks out. this would be really troubling for wing cars and late models. What they did was...

Re: Taking Over The Helm Of GC...

I know you like to take shots at Eldora, but the last 3 or 4 years, I have seen the best surfaces that I have ever seen there. I have only been going there since 1982, so I can't speak of before...

Re: Little 500

Last 8 years or so, it has gotten to the point where it is packed. With no general admission, I don't want to miss it.

Re: Hoosier tires

I am pretty sure that both steel block series have an open tire rule. If that is what fans and teams truly want, then the pits and stands will be packed for their shows. The other tracks and series...

Re: Lessons on Promotion

It was built with tax money. The gambling industry collects way more welfare, than they pay in taxes. It will only get worse in Lawrenceburg, now that Cincinnati has casinoes,

Re: Taking Over The Helm Of GC...

Why would anybody with money want to get involved, and deal with all that complaining? And on top of it probably lose money. A lot of the same people who complained raced at Gas City, and Montpelier....

Re: Must Watch

I thought the crowds were really good at Volusia. I think they did a great job of capitalizing on an opportunity. The Daytona area is loaded with people from all kinds of racing during Daytona 500...

Re: Must Watch

What exactly do the Outlaws do to promote? I don't really see it. I think the tracks promote. I see a cardboard cut out at the NAPA store featuring Brad Sweet, Chase Elliott, and other NAPA drivers,...

Re: Must Watch

I always loved going to the first show at Eldora and seeing who was in what car. I think too much information is part of the reason that people complain about the sport so much.

I watched it. What is his background? Does he go to races and meet with people, or does he base everything off of social media? Have seen his deal a few times, and never felt he had anything to say...

Re: Must Watch

The reason that non wing is less popular is because wings and late models make better billlboards. Nascar is more popular than Indycar for the same reason. Formula one is by far the richest and most...

Don't try to rain on yeleyfan's drama by presenting facts. Some people are just miserable. Instead of dealing with their own problems, they try to attack things that are more successful than them. He...

Re: Watching USAC on Flo

Very true. I should have worded what I meant better. I was talking about hyping up the parade lap. I try to take younger people who have never been to a sprint car race to races. I think that the...

I agree. I think the announcer should always cater to the people at the event.
