Re: Random visits…

A couple years before Manzanita closed, I pulled into their parking lot in a rental car one day while vacationing. Several gates were left open so I was able to nose up to the actual track, where I...

Re: Controversial post. Get rid of work areas and race.

How about we leave the work area like it is and have a show with less than eight classes?
Or, how about we start on time?
Or, how about we move the show along, like maybe no intermission when it's...

Re: Tire Dopers

Why not make tire doping legal? Why is it illegal now? Mark the right rear you start the night with and check that you used that same one all night. Dope it all you want. If it's legal, everyone...

Re: Bloomington Speedway Friday Sept 3 Josh Burton Memorial

Can we include calling cars "backmarkers" as not proper Sprint Car etiquette?

Non-wing gear for Hartford?

I haven't raced in many years. The last time we were at Hartford was when they had the big track. Trying to make the non-wing show at Hartford in July. Could anyone point me in the right direction...

Scott Benic always has used Ti rotors for sale that have been recoated. He would be the one I would call to find out where you could get this done. I contact him through his Benic Shocks (Benic...

Non-wing wheel sizes?

I am looking to upgrade my wheels this summer, and I need some advice. With the Indiana non-wing tire rules in effect, what wheel width/offsets work with these tires at these tracks?
Does the...

Re: Usac: Leary dq’d from gas city win; suspended by usac

I think the suspension is proper. It's hard enough for a small, un-sponsored, single motor, single car team such as myself to run with the big dogs. Being out of the big dog loop, I'm not up on the...

Sprint Week Kokomo Pit Pass?

For the Indiana Sprint Week show at Kokomo, if I buy a pit pass online, will Kokomo let me in early, with the other online ticket buyers? And, will that pit pass get me into the grandstands? I...

Re: Tyler Walker looking to make a come back.

I wish all the best to anyone that participates in our sport. He always put on a show when I saw him and he was always a gentlemen to my son when we saw him in the pits after the races.

I'm going to see the non-wing cars! Close to home for me, too. I'll have the Cubs hat on.

Re: RR arm offset

Just off the top of my head, I think for any chassis..

Center the rear end in the car, while up on setup blocks.
Install the bird cages and snug them up with spacers and wheel nuts.
Install the...

Re: School me on pressure washers/washing a sprint car

You have all been very helpful. It never dawned on me to plug the exhaust, that would not be an issue with a garden hose, but I can see where that would be a big deal when using a pressure washer.

Re: Shane Hmiel's HumpDay Summer Series for midgets @ Plymou

Looking at that link made me think that the Pro Sprints were running non-wing this weekend. I had to look twice.

School me on pressure washers/washing a sprint car

I could use a pressure washer for some projects here at home, but I'd also like to use it for washing a sprint car.

What type would IOW readers recommend? Gas or electric?

(*) I see electric...

Is there any chance this will be video recorded? I'd be happy to pay the $95.00 for a good recording.
