Re: Weather

By moving the times up a track also has to have employees to put on the shows. Many of which have family activities and jobs that require them to plan around. Many don't arrive until about hot laps...

Re: Mike’s Elephant

In today's modern society, would people be tempted to go to any event if it wasn't broadcasted?

Would people flock to the Indy 500 today if it HADN'T been televised say, at least the last 10...

Re: Thorsen Language

I love the moral high ground that people are trying to take when they themselves have never put themselves in a similar situation.

Adrenalin is a helluva drug... kind of gets in the way of the...

Re: Kyle Larson is the greatest driver of all time

Strictly speaking as a fan or motorsports, for me, a real difference between Larson and Stewart vs a Foyt/Jones/Andretti is how well documented and the coverage of their careers is.

The old guard...

Re: Tracks Unite to Modify Tire Rule

When I was soaking tires in the Modifieds we never soaked a new tire, it was always to breath life into an old wore out tire to squeak by another week. It did wonders for hand-me-downs that had been...

Re: For the COVID avoiders, when do return to the track?

It's been over 2 years since I went to my last race. My motivation to get back involved with the sport is just non-existent, COVID or otherwise. If I do go I won't be forced to wear a muzzle that's...

Re: Bloomsburg, PA - Old PA track coming back after 40 years

Re: New dirt track in Indy???

I wouldn't either. However the notion of a figure 8 being promoted conjurers up a feeling of "hillbillyism" to which inevitably bleeds over to the circle track side.

Re: Larson pass dirty on Leary?

Thank you very much sir. Exactly what I was looking for as I don't have Flo. :6:

The move certainly put Mr. Leary in a bind. His choice was hit the inside wall, hit Larson, or get on the binders...

Re: Larson in a Late Model. Tested a Longhorn & Rumley #6. P

Sure hate to see Larson getting out of a racecar....

I mean, anything with dead weight like a battery and starter can't possibly be a racing machine right? :)

Re: Was Anyone at Butler Saturday Night?

As long as Donaldson is still involved with the track (which he is behind the scenes) I don't see that ever happening. Which is sad, because Butler is my favorite Michigan track.

Lets see how much power that 'lil crate has when you hook the cushion at Kokomo and rip the fence down because you don't have the power to turn out of it.

I don't know about that. It's a lot easier to accept week to week racing when you know the head honcho is having health issues than it is for political or officiating reasons.

Hopefully Harold...
