Gentry was charged with misdemeanor battery. Battery(actual contact to victim) is a charge a step above assault (threat of contact) I know from experience. LOL

These are results from the old Springfield Speedway in Springfield, Il. Track closed at end of 1987 and is now home to a Walgreens, McDonalds and Starbucks.

Are group is leaving central Illinois for Tri-City bout 1. Also headed to Pevely. Hope they have a good crowd at both tracks so they return.

Couple years ago when Darland finished 2nd in the 71p they each got $7,500 and champion got $10,000 each. MOWAs sprint champion I believe got $10,000 this year. Sad what these NATIONAL drivers race...

Oct.14 USAC Terre Haute motels

Just went to book a room at Super 8 and the rate is $142.99 a night plus tax! Forgot it is Covered Bridge weekend! Booked a room at Days Inn Casey, Il. and it was $90.00 out the door. This sucks!:15:

Rates are back to normal at the Super 8 in Terre Haute. Just booked a room. Guess wasn't getting many bites at $85 a night. LOL
