Re: Midwest Supermodified Series at Lucas Oil Raceway

I wish they would just run a single day show. Save the racers and fans some money. It seems to be a bigger issue with pavement racing than dirt.

Re: USAC East Coast sprint car series

Maybe adding a race or two at Path Valley would be a good move for next year’s schedule. Kutztown (Action Track) and Lanco are pretty small but might be worth consideration also.

Re: BC39 Backstretch

Yeah, I’m thinking more like the Friday or Saturday night before the 400 on Sunday to have a SN race. Moving the NASCAR race to July opens up plenty of time for some events at IMS in August,...

Re: BC39 Backstretch

The Outlaws are at Eldora for their Let’s Race Two event on the same weekend as the Indy Grand Prix. The Grand Prix is on Saturday, so a Sunday show might be a possibility for either the USAC...

Re: IndyCar Back to Richmond

Unfortunately, IndyCar has already moved on to other courses in each of those markets. They arenít likely to ever go back to the (perceived as) more dangerous ovals or Cleveland when they are...

Re: IndyCar Back to Richmond

Itís a shame Pikes Peak isnít a viable place for a race anymore. Thatís a 1 mile oval that would fit nicely into a late season swing to the west coast. Gateway, PPIR, Portland, Laguna Seca.

Re: IndyCar Back to Richmond

Nah. If youíre talking about IMS, as long as theyíre getting 250,000+ fans at those ticket prices, they wouldnít leave no matter what happened. Even if it didnít have the history (granted, thatís a...

Re: IndyCar Back to Richmond

That place is dead.

Adding a Silver Crown race at Richmond would be cool to pair with the IndyCar event, but June 27 is the same weekend that they had their race at Madison International. If they...

Re: Daugherty Speedway reopening

When numbnuts bought the track a few years ago I sent him a very similar reconfiguration idea for the track, and I am eager to see if the new owners can actually do it. I donít think the historical...

Re: Daugherty Speedway reopening

I certainly hope someone gets the place and keeps it open. Their post does say “Negotiations are ongoing” which means it isn’t a done deal yet.

Itís a shame that it takes someone losing their life for that to become a requirement.

Re: Bloomington

Take a deep breath Alice. I was (mostly) just posting that for some cheap heat, although I do think the Outlaws are a fantastic series that appeals to fans all over the country. Beauty is, of...

Re: Smoke

Provoked for sure, but I would expect it to be handled like everything else involving him.

Re: Potential buyer for Daugherty (AKA KAMP). Boswell, India

That idiot is the Chuck Brennan of Indiana. The track wasn’t selling because the asking price is about $150k too high. So he goes to his beloved Facebook last week and says he’s going to part the...

Re: ISW and the Kings Royal

The Outlaws have had some fantastic racing this year. I’ve been to a couple of their races this season and watch their highlights religiously. I watch the USAC highlights also. The Outlaws have...

Re: Gas City Finish Controversy

Seems like a reasonable investment for a national touring series/sanctioning body to have for all of their events.

Re: Gas City Finish Controversy

One thing that isn’t controversial is that Gas City did an outstanding job hosting the first round of Indiana Sprintweek.

Re: Gas City Is the Cool Place to Be for Sprint Week

When I used to go to Gas City every week, I thought they should raise the boards that people sit on (the board closest to the track on each row) by about 6 inches. I think they could do it using...

Re: Usac: Indiana sprint week start times shifted

Youíre not bothered by the heat, but apparently losing a little bit of sleep is crossing the line.
