Re: POWRI Belle Clair

Rain dates sound good in theory, but usually are a push/failure for the promoter. The only exception is during a speed week situation and you had a large demand already for the event. I would...

Track photographers finances

So, I can somewhat understand how a track photographer could make money on a local event. I know that when I drove my street stock car, I would always buy a couple of the better action shots from...

Re: Indycar - Pocono. NASTY wreck again. This one on 1st lap

When it comes to safety, we always say we need to learn from our past. The crash that we had yesterday was very similar to last years crash. We are just lucky that a driver was not hurt. All of...

Re: New Corvette reveal

The Corvette chief designer had stated that they had taken the performance of the front engine Corvette as far as they could. To continue to get performance gains that they needed to move to the...

After years of rumors, it has been officially released. It is the mid-engine Corvette. I am excited to see it in person. Hopefully, many of you are excited about it as well. #IworkforGM

Re: Why cant we all get along??? POWRi and USAC

So who in the POWRi top ten in points has one of these motors? Who in the top twenty have one of these motors? They walked away from the race because of maybe 3 or 4 cars that would not have been...

Re: Concordia Cancelled?

OK that is pretty significant, but once again couldn't that get vetted before the track is put on the schedule.

Re: Concordia Cancelled?

Some of the historians will need to help me, but during the 2008 Indiana Midget week an event was cancelled for safety concerns once the drivers/fans arrived at the track. It has a similar feel to...

He is no longer there. I don't know what happened to his operation, but the building/lot is now empty.

Why cant we all get along??? POWRi and USAC

Sunday was looking like a great day of racing in the heartland. Sweet Springs was going to have a dual sanctioned midget show with both POWRi and USAC scheduling the show. This co-sanction show...

Keith Kunz drivers this Friday and Saturday

With USAC and POWRi going head to head in the heartland this weekend, does anyone know what the plans are for KKM? Last year he split the resources between the two series. Selfishly, I am hoping...

Re: USAC Cornbelt Nats Night 1

I disagree. Knoxville has a huge history with Winged Sprint Cars. They have a large weekly sprint car show that has a good following. By having one winged class each night, it made sure that...

Re: USAC Flo Racing Joliet

This is why curfews are good. You never see a track with a curfew start late. They know that they have to get the shows in.

Re: Usac: Event info: Dirt oval at route 66 usac midgets - 6

Did the crew person go onto the track surface? I could see a driver being DQ for having a crew person on the track surface.

Also, I hate it when I hear about stories about the races running this...

Question about Lincoln Speedway

Really thinking about going to Lincoln Speedway for the Sunday show. Hell tour late models, and POWRi midgets should make a great card.

What can anyone tell me about the track? Things I need to...

Re: Huset's/Badlands

There is a long thread on this on HoseHeads. The three big take aways from the thread:

1. There is $200,000 entry fee. 18 car minimum 36 car maximum
2. No one thinks that the race will happen....

Re: Stage Racing in Silver Crown

:deadhorse: Silver Crown cars are a niche of a niche sport. There is a group of people that still love them, but that group is dwindling year over year. You can take a causal fan to a USAC...

Re: Well....What About That Silver Crown Race?

No way Buckwalter gets his spot back. Also, no way Windom should have started the last restart. He should have been shown the black flag after taking out the leader. If USAC would have done...

Re: Sprint Car World Championship CANCELLED

It is funny that one poster used Knoxville as a comparison. I have been there during Nationals to have one of the early nights get rained out. They pushed the entire program a day and Friday's...

Re: Double file restarts

I like them both.

It drives me crazy when a top dog draws a great number. Starts on the pole and runs away with the heat and then does the same thing for the main event. I know that over the...

Re: Top Row Reserved Seating Available For Tri-City

I wish more tracks would sell the top rows as reserved seating. I would gladly pay more to know that I had a good seat. I think it is an easy revenue source that they are missing.
