Re: Gas City I-69 Speedway NEWS.

Now you have a good point. I never thought of that angle.

A Pilot or a Love's truck stop.... close to I-69. I can see it in the crystal ball.

Unfortunately.

Re: Gas City I-69 Speedway NEWS.

That is a little hard for me to believe. Without doing in-depth math.... recouping your initial $4M investment.....?

Maybe $400,000? That's about the ballpark for when Hartford and I-96...

Re: Paragon\ Weather

With less than 48 hours to go for the start of the original race date, I am amazed that the Paragon Speedway website has not been updated to reflect this postponement. The time clock counting down...

Re: Paragon\ Weather

If I read this correctly, hot laps at 4:30. They are on EST according to what I can see.

Re: PSA for USAC Terre Haute/ Red Hill

I suggest all men over 50 get a regular PSA test - Prostate Specific Antigen. It determines the preasance of prostate cancer. No need to go all the way down to Terre Haute to get it. It is a...

Re: ASCS: World Racing Group Acquires American Sprint Car Se

Cards well played, I say. As for the timing of it, looks to me like WoO is trying to gain position on the High Limit Series. We'll see how this develops down the stretch.

Re: Great Lakes Traditional Sprints - 2024 Schedule

Right-o. To elaborate a little more, for years this series used to be called MTS - Michigan Traditional Sprints. It was run by Joey Irwin. Great Lakes Sprints, who are also the caretakers for the...

Re: East Bay - High Limit Sprint Cars. 56 cars in attendance

Well, I watch on Flo on a delayed basis - not live. If I did not want to see any USAC results from Florida until I had a chance to watch all the action down there I wouldn't be on IOW for many...

Re: East Bay - High Limit Sprint Cars. 56 cars in attendance

And the best part is that this series doesn't have spoilers littering the thread titles like the USAC threads.

Pet peeve.....

Re: East Bay - High Limit Sprint Cars. 56 cars in attendance

Personally I could do without the playlist music. Just let the engines sing as they are spooling up for formation.

Good action on the track, though.

Re: Opinions on USAC From Late Model Fans

Exactly! I am in the same boat. What to watch?

A lot of fans like me appreciate both wing and non-wing. I am expanding that to wing, non-wing, and late models thanks to Flo.

Re: Opinions on USAC From Late Model Fans

I've been watching the Lucas Oil Late Models on Flo since the season started and have no regrets. The racing has been top shelf.

Re: IndyCar's Future

Well, one more oval track was just added to the 2024 calendar. Not so much an original plan, but a 'Plan B':

Re: Could USAC do it?

I watched the replay on Flo. If you include qualifying, the entire time was ~ 2:42.00. And as Brent noted a very extensive cleanup after a crash, and as I noted, Moe, Larry, and Curly trying to rig...

Re: PARAGON for sale?

I like my racing, but that is about $1,999,999 more than you could get me to pay for a track. :)

Re: Could USAC do it?

I can vividly remember about 10-12 years ago getting in my van to leave Butler after the sprint feature. It was 1:45 a.m. As I was climbing in, I could hear the speakers from the track. They were...

I'm a one track man for all of the aforementioned scenarios. Even if, for the sake of argument, you watched the Rolex 24 Hours at Dayona and then went back a few weeks later to watch the Daytona 500...

Ironically this is now all back-burner news as Lewis Hamilton signing with Ferrari for 2025 has taken front and center on the stage.

Re: Could USAC do it?

I guess it all gets down to what one wants to call the start, eh? Hot laps? Quals? First heat? Either way it was quick work aided by an early start. A Tuesday Night might have had something to...
