Re: J.O Memorial, Lawrenceburg. Sat April 13th

I was all over the place. Never saw you Charles. Even walked to the bike track, but couldn't find the racing family. It was a big crowd.

Re: J.O Memorial, Lawrenceburg. Sat April 13th

Pretty good race. Seavey was exciting up top. Liked the slight changes to the shape of the track. Best race I have seen there since the new track was built. Maybe the biggest crowd I have ever seen...

Re: USAC announces Jason Smith as new president

Does anyone really want or need the next level? Yes, I would like to see participants make more money. Usually that just makes them spend more. Go through the pits at a big wing race, and look at the...

Re: USAC announces Jason Smith as new president

Worked with Jason when he was with USAC, and I was at Kokomo. Always thought he was good guy.

Re: ASCS: High Winds Force Cancelation Of ASCS/POWRi Wildcar

C'mon, surely you have been to an Outlaw or NASCAR race before.

Re: ASCS: High Winds Force Cancelation Of ASCS/POWRi Wildcar

With the crowd I saw on YouTube that they had the first night, that was probably a blessing that they had to cancel. Someone had to lose a bunch of money.

Re: Circle City Raceway Practice

Looking forward to getting back to Circle City again. Not sure of how many shows other than USAC, I will be able to attend. I really like that track.

Re: Usac: 1998 usac flashback: Mayhem ensues at red hill, da

I was at Red Hill that night. A real crazy chain of events. I was also at Attica in the spring when that rivalry kicked into high gear. It was a great season. Even though both made some mistakes,...

Re: High Limit Sprints Car Series - 2024 Schedule

I went to the Ditch many years ago. It was unbelievably tacky. I have seen it a few times the last 3 or 4 years. It seems to be packed a lot harder than it used to be. I would still go back.

Re: AFT on Flo

AFT on Flo

I am glad that Flo added AFT to their line up. That is great racing. Have seen them back in the day at Kokomo, the Indy Mile, and Eldora. Back in the Camel Pro days.

Re: Little 500

I was sitting with 2 highly respected promoters 4 years ago. They were amazed that the insurance company hadn't shut it down.

Re: Taking Over The Helm Of GC...

If you take banking out, the wall doesn't match up to the track. If you make it flatter the top of the wall sticks out. this would be really troubling for wing cars and late models. What they did was...

Re: Taking Over The Helm Of GC...

I know you like to take shots at Eldora, but the last 3 or 4 years, I have seen the best surfaces that I have ever seen there. I have only been going there since 1982, so I can't speak of before...

Re: Little 500

Last 8 years or so, it has gotten to the point where it is packed. With no general admission, I don't want to miss it.

Re: Hoosier tires

I am pretty sure that both steel block series have an open tire rule. If that is what fans and teams truly want, then the pits and stands will be packed for their shows. The other tracks and series...

Re: Lessons on Promotion

It was built with tax money. The gambling industry collects way more welfare, than they pay in taxes. It will only get worse in Lawrenceburg, now that Cincinnati has casinoes,

Re: Taking Over The Helm Of GC...

Why would anybody with money want to get involved, and deal with all that complaining? And on top of it probably lose money. A lot of the same people who complained raced at Gas City, and Montpelier....

I thought the crowds were really good at Volusia. I think they did a great job of capitalizing on an opportunity. The Daytona area is loaded with people from all kinds of racing during Daytona 500...

Re: Must Watch

What exactly do the Outlaws do to promote? I don't really see it. I think the tracks promote. I see a cardboard cut out at the NAPA store featuring Brad Sweet, Chase Elliott, and other NAPA drivers,...
