My first sprint car race was at Ascot; I don't remember what year but it had to be between 1958 and 1960 because it was called "New Ascot Stadium" in those years and I distinctly remember seeing that...

Seems like an escape hatch in the wing would be problematic; first, the wing has a top and a bottom surface so a single hatch would probably not work. Then, I've never seen a wing retain its' shape...

That's not the same car at all; has that Italian flow of the bodywork, tighter, cleaner, and the most telling thing is that the exhaust is on the other side.
