I don't have a dog in this fight either, but what about Sun. August 12th. Don't know much about the car count, but that is the day after the Knoxville Nationals, there will be a lot of fans headed...

If you are headed south friday night after Bloomington, there are 2 or 3 motels in Bedford also on hwy 37.

I wish I was in Indiana NEXT weekend. I would go to Terre Haute thursday night, the Freedom 100 at IMS friday afternoon, champ cars on the mile track friday night, Little 500 at Anderson saturday...

This is why I hope they get back on the USAC sprintweek schedule next year, always one of my favorite races of the entire week.

Dave's column was spot on. I would rather make the effort to go to a race and see it in person, rather than sit at home and watch it on the computer, especially if it's a reasonable driving distance.

Saw on Hosehead's message board next year the night before the Kings Royal at Eldora will be a nonwing sprint car race paying $25,000 to win with a $25,000 bonus if the same driver wins the Kings...

After a heavy rain the track is going to be heavy and narrow, that's why there wasn't any passing, plus Oskaloosa is black Des Moines River bottom dirt, which really gets sticky.
