The engine is higher in the dirt car and the starter shaft has to clear the front axle.

The traditional cars were not safe on the 1.5 mile tracks. OK on all miles including Gateway. If 1&2 were as opened up as 3&4 at Gateway it would have been a problem.

Non members are covered by their personal ins (if any) then track ins then any excess they might have purchased.

I imagine it still works this way. Your personal ins first, then track ins then USAC. If you don't have personal ins or what you have doesn't cover racing, track ins will be first. If at a USAC...

This is the Chili Bowl folks, there are no rules here only guidelines. Whatever Emmett wants to happen, happens. I thought everybody always liked it this way in the past.

As I have stated in the past, I'm no fan of Kevin Miller but: He makes a base salary plus a percentage of sponsorship from multiple series's.

The reason USAC and the Silver Crown Division are not at more tracks is the promoters are not interested. If there was a decent track offering a standard SC purse, USAC would already be there.
