Although the administrators and moderators of IndianaOpenWheel.com will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of IndianaOpenWheel.com, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.
By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.
The owners of IndianaOpenWheel.com reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
Below are some general rules which you should observe when using this message board. Please follow them (some of these rules are just common sense/courtesy, so they're not hard to follow) :
- The board admin/mods reserve the right to edit or even delete your posts at any time and any reason.
- We take this "Be Polite" rule very seriously! We do not tolerate any rudeness. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may be banned without notice.
- You are required to enter your real name as part of the registration process. You will be allowed to provide your first name only. If you choose to ignore this requirement, your account will be disabled. The administrator will be the only person that will be allowed to access this information.
- During any Live Updates, Do NOT post the condition of an injured driver. I do not want family members finding out false information via this message board.
- No personal attacks of any kind against a member, or group of members. Having a difference of opinion is fine, but if it gets out of hand and turns into a fight to get the biggest jab at the other person, then its gone too far.
- If you are a long-standing member, act like one. Lead by example and assist other newer members rather then attacking them. We look upon our veteran members to use this opportunity to teach the newer members the appropriate way to use this message board.
- Do not post material found on other websites that is copyrighted. Just post a link to that site.
- Do not post spam or unsolicited advertising.
- A member is allowed one(1) account. No exceptions. If you choose to ignore this restriction, all of your accounts will be disabled.
- Do not use profanity.
- Do not post adult material or links to adult
material.
- Do not link to executable files.
Executable files (exe, bat, com, reg) should not be linked to because of the possibility of virus/trojans.
- Do not bump posts (this is, posting pointless replies just to keep a thread at the top of the forum.
- You must respect the privacy of individuals. This means no posting of phone numbers, addresses, social security numbers or any other private information. We discourage users from posting such information even about themselves, as we cannot control how that information may be used beyond our message boards.
- If you find a post that is against the forum rules listed on this page, you should use the report a post feature to notify the board's admin and/or moderators, as opposed to posting something about it yourself.
- Keep your posts on topic, that is to make sure new posts are posted in the right forum, and replies are about the same topic as the main topic of the thread. Don't post just to increase your post count, as a high post count doesn't always equate to expertise. This rule is mainly in relation to people coming in to an existing thread and taking it off in another direction (example: by asking a totally new question or hijacking the thread for their own purpose). Thread starters can and sometimes need to change the topic (although it may be in their best interest to start a new thread, just so that more people can see it). Some friendly banter is totally acceptable, and in fact, it is helpful in making this message board a friendlier place.
- Public posts debating these rules and/or moderators' enforcement of such, will be removed, and followed with a warning. We encourage feedback by using the Private Messaging System, You can find a list of Moderators here

The rules and the moderating team are here to keep the message board a fun, positive place to socialize and share information. Many forums fall apart after becoming consumed by petty squabbling or having useful information drowned in a sea of stupidity and nonsense, and that is the fate we are actively trying to avoid. We are ready to treat you like a mature, responsible adult, and if you behave as such, you won't have any problems here.
