Jimmy Johnson victory lane reference

During the first interview Jimmy mentioned a driver in the Midwest who died who raced number seven. I did not recognize the name. Did anyone else? Anyone know the story?

Wasn't Jimmy a teammate of Mark Dismore's son in a stock car series after he came out of the off road truck series? Was it ARTGO maybe??
