Hey Chris Nunn....

I saw a really entertaining (and good) late model feature at Skyline (OH) last night. And I admitted It.........

Justin has done such a great job in the series - I particularly enjoyed his win at Salem because he held off Ken Schrader who was relentless, and because Schrader, racing with an "old school" sense of ethics, never touched him. Ron Drager who leads ARCA is one of the finest racing officials in the land -

I dont have a problem with anything you said Botts, you made it sound like it demeaning because they had fenders. Personally, the race was great, Speed should have drug Stenhouse out into the parking lot after the race.

It's great to see "our" open wheel guys do so well in the "fender car" series. :O:

All of them have different backgrounds... and as we all know;

-Stenhouse started in karts, moved on to Winged Sprints and then USAC.

-Allgaier started in quarter midgets, moved up to late models - sprints, midgets, and Silver Crown, now ARCA & NASCAR...

-Speed may not be considered one of "ours", he's still an open-wheeler. He also started in karts, later moved on to the Skip Barber series and worked his way up to F1 and is now running ARCA & NASCAR as well.

By the way, don't forget about Tom Hessert, III, who finished 8th in points...
Tom started in quarter midgets, moved to karts and micro sprints, Rolex 24 Hrs. of Daytona, now USAR Hooters Pro Cup and ARCA. In my opinion, Tom is one of the more underrated and versatile drivers out there.:respect:

It just goes to show that open wheel racing truly is the stepping stone to the next level. All I know is I sure will miss seeing "Lil Gator" run Ebby's midget at Lil' Belleville, and Stenhouse on the USAC tour. Congrats to all of them for being able to move up and further their careers! :applaud:
