Iracing Non Winged Coming

Listened to OpenRed the Woo podcast from Monday and they had the Iracing developer on and he stated they will have non winged sprint cars realeased in a few weeks. No mention if it includes new tracks or just same as Woo.

How many and which dirt tracks do they have? I've only seen Eldora. Thanks.

They have a 4th dirt track, it comes with the basic Iracing package. USA Speedway. 3/4 mile dirt oval. Rumor has it that they have laser scanned a couple other tracks, and they are currently in production. All I read was a midwest track, and a west coast track, but they were saying it will be July before they are ready for testing.

So, they currently have 4 tracks, 4 different types of cars (including 3 sprints, and 3 LM's). With 2 more tracks in development, and 2 more cars on the drawing board. (All they said was 410 non-wing, and IMCA type mods)

It's on twitter. Non wing coming in 4 days. USAC is partnering with IRacing now. It seems there is limitless potential with the dirt stuff on Iracing. So many car types & track types that have good fan followings.

A novice here......what does it take equipment and program-wise to participate in this?

It doesn't take a whole lot... I bought a computer off eBay for $400 and a steering wheel from Best buy for $200... My computer runs the graphics at about 80% and I don't notice anything being blurry or glitching. Iracing website has specs for the type of computer you need and you will spend roughly a $100 for a year membership and the dirt track cars and tracks.

It seems like fast, stable internet is more important than a beefy gaming computer with iracing

Just saw a code to get IRacing for 3 months for $5.00. I guess there are always codes of some sort to keep the cost of the subscription down. Not really all that much tio begin with, but upfront it can seem to add up quick. Especially if you decide to starting doing some of the pavement stuff also.
