So who's heading to Florida?

I'll be at Volusia and Ocala Feb. 13-21. Obviously hoping for warm days and cool, dry nights. There should be a great wing and late model turnout and guessing maybe 25 non-wingers at Ocala. Anybody in the loop have an educated guess on the USAC show car count? I'll be there good or not so good. Wow, bikinis in two weeks. I can handle it.

After years of Volusia, we are changing up and heading to Tampa for the ASCS 360 Winternationals. Looking forward to it. Can't go wrong anywhere you go, though.

The USAC Sprint Car series has made regular visits to Florida to open up the season since 2010. Here are the car counts for each of those races.

2014: 34 & 32

2013: 30, 30 & 27

2012: 24, 31 & 31

2011: 30, 29 & 29

2010: 32 & 32

I am not in the loop but here is my guess, 25-30.
Andretti
Bacon
Ballou
Boespflug
Chapple
Clauson
Courtney
Darland
Farney
Grant
Hines
Jarrett
Kobylarz
Leary
Robbins
Short
Simon
Stockon
Thomas Jr.
Windom

Cockrum?
Coons Jr.?
Cottle?
Schuerenberg?
Stanbrough?
Swanson?

Spridge would have a real close idea.

Nice to get some discussion back to non wing sprint cars!! If this list is close it will be a heck of a show!!

Been here in the area between Ocala and East Bay since right after Christmas and haven't had many bikini days. However, Florida winter weather is fickle. It can be 80 degrees today and low 50s tomorrow. Winds are generally from the north. Nights are usually chilly so bring your coat. Locals will be in tees and shorts...we northerners will be in heavy coats and long pants.:3:
