Re: Who was Reckless the Clown?
I wonder if he is related to "Speedway Man" that I have seen at Tri-State Speedway?

Re: Who was Reckless the Clown?
Ed was a real class act and instumental in the Midget Hall of Fame. I believe that same helmet used to be on display at the Hall of Fame at Angell Park. His books are great reads if you can get your hands on them.

Re: Who was Reckless the Clown?
Another great driver and I believe Midget Hall of Fame Member in that photo line-up is the Late Les Scott from Ossian IN. in the #3 Midget from 1978.
I spent quite a few hours in his small shop in Ossian as a kid cleaning up, learning and graduating to turning some wrenches. He always thought it was pretty cool that I made to the the Indy Car level from that 20x20 shop, and would always come by and look me up duing the month of May at the Speedway. |
Re: Who was Reckless the Clown?
Thanks guys, I thought it was Ed Watson. Then I remembered his old USAC Midget yearbooks were published by Reckless Enterprises.

Re: Who was Reckless the Clown?
The memories flood back to Reckless the Clown. I remember him fondly. He made the downtime between the races a little funnier. I never knew until many years later that it was actually Ed Watson.
