Jeff Begg auction
 

Anybody go to the auction. I talked to one guy who did, said he bought 2 hot dogs and a Coke, said he saw 2 offie carbs sell for 20 k, but they did have a lot of nice stuff, they went with the intent to buy the Rollie Beale Sprint, but came back with out it.

I walked around Friday and looked at everything. Hard to believe that someone could collect that amount of cars and parts only to leave it all behind. Some of the midgets were home made one of a kind, neat stuff for sure.

Yes, Jeff bought a Hillegas midget off of me, several years ago, when he came to pick it up, we had a chance to get in a lot of talking, but when he left, I still had no idea he had such a collection, and variety of it was out of sight, just talking to him, he gave no hint of what he had amassed, I knew he was a business owner, and a really nice guy, but it blew me away when I saw page after page of things he had picked up during his lifetime. RIP Jeff!
