Congrats to Windom. I am sure Grant's team is bummed. They shouldn't be. That is one of the best battles in the 60 plus years of USAC. Thanks to all the teams, drivers, promoters, and USAC for giving us a great season. Not many duds in 2017. I can't wait for next year.

But.... after realizing it was crazy to drive 2 days to Perris from Denver, I downloaded a damn virus & couldn't watch it on PPV, laptop sat in Geeksquad for 4 days.... always next year, Iguess....

What a great sport we have. I don't know if we really understand how great this sport is. We have 2 teams fighting till the end of a year long battle. And one false move all year would make a different picture. Both teams deserve Congratulations. Both teams were tuff. The make up of the teams is special. Great mechanic's, great engine builder great chassis builders and the best drivers.
But we should not forget the car owners. The Baldwin owners deserve so much. I have seem them at the bottom year after year. And to see them stick it out and grow with mechanics
and drivers is a special racing team. This is a real feel good story. And I say thank you and Congratulations to all.

Couple years ago when Darland finished 2nd in the 71p they each got $7,500 and champion got $10,000 each. MOWAs sprint champion I believe got $10,000 this year. Sad what these NATIONAL drivers race for.

Can’t believe it’s only 20k total. Williams Grove championship pays that much. I hope USAC sprint car championship pays more than that.

Was just over on Hoseheads reading race recaps and saw the ASCS Champion getting a check for $60,000....BUT, it was one of those big ones like Happy used to collect so not sure where to cash it!

World of Outlaws champs each got $100,000 each.

Lucas Oil Late Model champ $75,000

If anyone can post the other series champions prizes. Feel free. For some reason I thought USAC paid $40k

I believe Knoxville pays more than USAC also.

No disrespect to anyone, but if KT jr. had run the entire season, it would have been no contest considering the year he had after leaving the BWW car. Congrats to Windom just the same.

It is what it is, KT had a shot to go winged racing, Actually won and for whatever reason was let go. I don't get it honestly but The starting points alone for FL 3 races would have got the championship, He had a great year with several teams. It should be recognized, while taking nothing from Windom.

Reminds me of the season BC had a few years back taking off about five races from USAC to run Indy and still winning the championship. (Now that was a great season) :)

Congrats to Chris Windom, You deserve it. You've been the strongest the last year and a half and if Bacon hadn't jumped out to a way early lead last year, You almost got that one.

Now with A Champ and Sprint Car Championship, Will he go for the triple crown? Midgets?

It was a great usac season again. I don't know how you can have the championship come down to the last race and the last lap without resetting the points for the top 10 or 15 with a few races to go.

Congratulations to Windom and the # 5 racing team. Great racing events all year long by all the great racing teams and racing family's. Thanks for all the great things that you guys do for the sport that we all love. Thanks.

Much rather see Windom race a truck than a midget

And here we go again. Same person griping about the location. Theyve finished in Cali for how long now? You could have gotten it on PPV. Quit beating the same d*mn dead horse.
