Looking for Info
Hey everyone. I'm looking for any information on a Sprint car chassis. I was told it won the 2001 Copper World Classic. Hoping someone might have some info and or pictures of it from that time. Thank you in advance for any help.

Re: Looking for Info
The copper world classic was a silver crown, midget, and super modified race weekend. It did not involve sprint cars.

Way back in the day sprints did run the copper world. Like mid to late 80’s.

Re: Looking for Info
OK from maybe 1989 on. He was looking for 2001 so I didn't go back to the first decade or so.

We ran USAC Sprints at Phoenix in April of 96 and 97. I think it was called the Desert Star Classic. Set the worlds record in 96 winning with Andy Michner and was the fastest sprint car race ever.

That's what I keep finding as well. No Sprint cars in 2001 so the year should be different The car appears to be a stealth chassis and it's built out of .120 wall tubing. It's a downtube car if that helps. Supposedly, Tony Stewart finished second in the same race. Again, just going off what I was told. 🤔

Anyone?

You're sure it's not a Silver Crown car? What's the wheelbase?

Re: Looking for Info
The only time I can find Tony Stewart finished 2nd in the Copper World Classic was 1993, and that was a USAC Silver Crown race. I was going to ask the same question as kendirt, are you sure it's a sprint car?
