I have read many an article on this legend and the man was well respected.:(

Also condolences to the Al Unser family. Big Al's other daughter passed away yesterday as well from a heart attack.:(

I always liked hearing and reading about Rube. Before I was old enough to go to Indy on my own, I always sat in a big rocking chair we had and listened to the Indy 500 and cheered for him. I finally got to meet him at the Hoosier Hundred about 18 or so years ago, and it was just like I had always known him. He was every bit of the gentleman I thought he would be, and very humble. You will be missed by many. God bless Rube and his family.
