EAST GRABS “SALT CITY 78” POLE AT SYRACUSE

Syracuse, NY……..Defending two-time USAC Silver Crown Champion Bobby East of Brownsburg, Ind. grabbed the pole position for Saturday’s “Salt City 78” 78-mile race at the New York State Fairgrounds during Friday qualifications at the one-mile oval. East qualified at 110.988 mph in his Chevrolet Performance/Curb Maxim/Chevy to edge out series point leader Kody Swanson, who will start on the outside of the front row in Saturday’s race.

Glad to see USAC back at Syracuse. I used to attend the Salt City 100 back in the day as a youngster. Love the dirt miles. Good luck to all drivers today. Wish I could be at Super Dirt week this weekend to see it.
