Baer Field to close?

Sad to hear , this year they had twin $10,000 to win modified races. That is some pretty good money to pay out. I stopped in there the night of the grocery getter and seen the place was in need for some improvements. I hate hearing of tracks shutting down.

So the oval track will continue? I didn't watch the video & everything I read talks of the drag track & gokart track? Or is it the same thing?

Baer field never was a dragstrip it's always been a half mile.later they built a three eighths on inside of the half.go cart track is adjacent to track to the westside of parking lot. It will probably become a runway for the airport.

Muzillo now owns SOD, too. He bought it from John Naida last year. I wonder if this will have any affect on that series? More time to devote to it or less money coming in to put into it? Meanwhile, where SOD "left off", GLSS has a full blown schedule out already for 2020.

Ok. Thank-you. I gather the "journalist" was confused, like the T-Mez story last week and much else in the news world. I kept wondering when "Kenny and Rusty Wallace, as well as Dale Earnhardt Sr." had gone drag racing?...lol - which I wouldn't be surprised if at SOME point in either's career, they had made a "pass" somewhere, but I wasn't aware of it. AND, the writer said "people can take their final walk around the track" - and it's easier to go "around" an oval, compared to maybe walking up and down a drag strip...lol. Either way, I've enjoyed the indoor Fort Wayne track, but have never made it to this one (obvsly), but do hate to hear of any track closing...
