Cleaning your racecar

What do you guys think the best stuff is to clean and power wash your racecar? Soap and water? Purple power?

wideopen24 6/27/16 7:45 AM

Mean Green, Simple Green, or liquid laundry detergent.... DONT use purple power!

Purple power will stain any raw aluminum on your car and begin stripping the anodizing off all of your parts. Do not use purple power.

Simple green is the best in my opinion.

Purple power plays havoc on skin too

Simple green is what I use, my electric Karcher washer has a washing wand, and the one with a marble in it, that really gets things done, the regular nozzle has an adjustment on it, that when you turn it down, it lowers the pressure, and draws the soap out with a smaller amount of water, just spray it down, let it soak a bit, then turn the nozzle up to full pressure, and shazam. I still like to go over it with a soapy mitt, then rinse, and blow dry, and yes, an electric yard blower works good to, the detail shop I take my Mustang to, use them to dry their customer cars. Bob

Wipe the car down with baby oil before your 1st heat

Or, if you have a pool, or know someone who does, just push it off in there, it'll soak right off, NOT! Bob
