Good work Joe! You da man when it comes to stopping cars in mid-air. Now, could you read the mind of the guy in #17? What was he thinking? Hate to see him tear his car up, but that was :15:

Re: LPS Pictures 09-09-2011
Interesting Shot of Mikes Flip. Pics like this can be a big help when it comes to driver safety and improvements that can be made.
Arm Restraints need to be low and TIGHT! Notice they have slipped up past his elbows (or of sewn in, maybe are too close to the elbows)on the impact and both hands are now outside the front / top of the cage. This just shows how much the body and belts can stretch in a hard impact. Keeping your shoulder belt mounting location as close to your shoulders, and not to far down the back of the seat is one way to help reduce the total amount stretch. For every inch of material, you have a percentage of stretch. The father the belts are away from beind your shoulders, the more stretch you have. Mikes are mounted close, and you can still notice the stretch he went through. Glad to talk to Mike afterwards and see him come out of this with no injuries. He also had a big thank you for his Hans. Great shots Joe. |
