I always wanted to see them at Oxford Plains Speedway. When they finally did have them at OPS,don't you know it was the same weekend as the Knoxville Nationals.

I'm planning a trip to Maine in June. Before this schedule came out I was hoping for a show at Oxford Plains or Beech Ridge. No such luck. I am looking forward to Toledo in September. Hopefully it gets confirmed

I dont think ISMA has ever been to Beech Ridge before, although that would be another track they would be fun to watch at. Maybe you'll get lucky and NEMA will be at one or the other.......

If you go to Oxford.just remember the Oxford of today is a lot different than when Bob Bahre ran it,and all the stories you've heard me tell of the Oxford 250 etc, etc.

Have never been to Lorain. What's that like?

I went to Lorain for the last ISMA show there in June. If I had to compare it to a paved track in Indiana, I'd say it's pretty similar to Angola. It's a 3/8 mile so it's a tighter track than most of the places I've seen supers run. With Lorain being an two day ISMA show they should pull over 30 cars again like they did in June. Seeing a field like that is a rare sight anymore outside of the Northeast.

I've been there but have not seen the Supers run & wondered what they were like. From the divisions I seen race there you about have to do the bump & run. Do not spin them or you will go to the tail. The trailer races are wild.

At Lorain last June, things got goofy in the feature when the leaders encountered lapped traffic, but other than that there wasn't much passing. I hate to say.

For me, supermodifieds are a nostalgia thing. I have a real soft spot for them. By and large the cars are home built and unique to one other. Watching their hydraulic wings flop up and down lap after lap is really interesting as well. But it's the sound that takes me back. An old big block on methanol just sounds and smells better.

I still have to pencil in Sandusky and the Hy-Miler sometime.

I used to like going to the Star Classic when I lived in New England. Star is way to small to run Big Block Chevy Engines on,and it doesnt take long to click off 200 laps there........

Thompson is on the other end of the spectrum being a 5/8 mile track and very fast. That is a track for Big Block Chevy engines!
