Kokomo, August 31
You can have Haubstadt, Gas City, Lawrenceburg, and on and on and on.
Just give me Kokomo. The place shows us something amazing every week. 2008 has been off the charts. |
Re: Kokomo, August 31
Agreed I thought for about two seconds about going to Haubstadt but very gladly decided to stay home. One helluva race and the best 2 lap shootout at the end that I've seen in some time. What can you say the track is amazing and seems to get better weekly. Can't wait to see the racing that the Klash brings.

It's a generic one-groove bowl. You can have it.

Yeah, they can get wide. Here is a shot that I took right before a dirt shower

Re: Kokomo, August 31
Last night was my first time at Kokomo. We were supposed to go to Haubstadt and I have to admit at first there was some disappointment and a lack of enthusiasm on my part. However, that was quickly erased. Very impressed with the show that we saw and will look forward to going back again.

Re: Kokomo, August 31
"Russ" obviously hasn't been to Kokomo, or is blind.
You can't call it generic at all. Because of the backstretch, it's a little "D" shaped. It's flat on the bottom, progressively banked to the top and turns 1-2 are tighter getting in that 3-4. I've never seen another track like it, although the one track that Kevin Thomas (not Junior) said it reminded him of was old Limaland. The one groove statement is laughable, at best. |
