This weekend

Where is everyone going this weekend and why? Paragon, Lincoln Park, Lawrenceburg, Brownstown, Tri State? All have non wing sprints. :22:

TQ97 6/28/19 10:46 AM

Gas city does as well

snowdrift 6/28/19 11:08 AM

Baer field AVSS non-wing Saturday night

Paragon, LPS and Haubstadt. I'll admit though, I considered Hell Tour vs World of Outlaws LM at The Action Track. But, all the rainouts have left me sprint car race deficient, so I need to get caught up.

Edit: Hell Tour/WoO Late Models tonight. If I'm going to go to one late model race this year, it might as well be this one. With most of their sport's biggest stars duking it out on the Terre Haute Action Track.

Thurs. Brownstown-Hell Tour, Fri. Jacksonville All Stars and MOWA, Sat. Brownstown MSCS, Sun. Haubstadt USAC-MSCS, Mon. The bank to see if I have any money left!

dkdorkboy 6/28/19 11:41 AM

Limaland because it is close tonight and Joliet tomorrow because of a rare midget and All Star double dip.

I give your post a 66.66% like only for the fact that you aren't going with me to Tri City Speedway today. I know I was originally going to THAT for the WoO late model, but like Jerry I changed my mind. See you tomorrow and Sunday!:22:

What time you picking me up tomorrow?

Don't forget about the USAC National Midgets and the ASCoC winged sprint cars over here in Illinois on Saturday night at the Dirt Track Route 66 just south of Interstate 80 near Joliet, Illinois.

Also, don't forget about Sunday night, as well. Lincoln Speedway, Lincoln, Illinois will have the best of both worlds included on their racing lineup. The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets and the UMP Late Models Summer Nationals at the same track on the same night. This usually is a very good show and Sarge packs 'em in for this event!

We'll be doing both, for sure!

Yeh I was surprised to hear most of the racing family was gonna go to Knoxville. Mail Man must be confused,as the closest way to get there is thru Illinois,a State the racing family avoids to go watch the great racing events they have in that State.

I'll suggest that the racing family retire relatively early Friday night and get up real early and travel a bit more west and go to the Speedway Motors museum. A weekend of 2 races and 2 different museums would be a really busy weekend for you,and help you sleep on the way home, and the Mail Man would only have to listen to you snore while driving back.http://https://www.museumofamericanspeed.com/

That is a good plan. I have to work this weekend but I did get over to Hartford last night to watch the SOD action which was equaled only by the action and energy while chatting with Cigar Dave. :)

My plan was Gas City and Joliet. Still can't be exposed to any dirt or dust. Have fun Joliet has a great grandstand. One the best I have ever watched from.

May or may not find a track tonight, Don't know if it's me, The Racing or both but hard to get excited anymore. I think I caught Quinn Syndrome. IDK.

bigvee 6/29/19 1:51 PM

Re: This weekend

Double file restarts and lapped cars to the tail might help that.

Better hope that aint the case. I used to average 80 or more races since I first moved here in 2006. Thats dwindled down to a low of one race a couple years ago, maybe 10 last year, and so far just 2 this year, both of them last minute decisions, and not even sprint cars. Interesting I still log on here a few times a day to read the "dirt",but no longer do I chomp at the bit for 3:30 to get here during the week, and especially on Fridays to go racing. It seems amazing that I used to go 4-5 or more nights per week, and work full time.I cant imagine doing that anymore.......

Gimmicks are not long term answers.
