Let’s hear everyone’s viewpoint on who won.

I wasn’t there but have read/seen the race monitor results as well as screen shots of the finish.,

No question on who won. Throttle and Tony Epperson won in that non competitive car as some were saying on here a few weeks ago when DD drove it. Congrats men.

Cottle clearly had the advantage at the line. Read USAC's report on the race and it explains how they score the finish.

I've watched it over and over again and it's just so close. It looks like Leary by a thread, but the camera angle is to the left of the flag stand, which would favor the closest car (Leary, in this case). The only way I could question the decision made is if I saw a shot that was verifiably exactly behind the start/finish line. When it's that close and in this case even Race-Monitor had it Leary by 2/1000ths of a second (1/300th of the time it takes to blink your eye) you just have to rely on the decision made at the time. So, I don't think there's any controversy here. Other than that which automatically comes with races that are virtually almost a dead heat, like this one.

One thing that isn’t controversial is that Gas City did an outstanding job hosting the first round of Indiana Sprintweek.

I'd say that whatever Levi and Spridge say is final, period, regardless.

I sure hope someone woke Leroy Jenkins up for that amazing finish!:3:

Sure looks to me like USAC is wrong.

1. Hang transponders on front of car, not rear. Confirm all transponders on in the same/correct position on each car before qualifying and after post race tech.
2. Clearly mark and define start/finish line, not always at flag stand.
3. Make the timing loop official, and don’t rely on live time sight/camera replay and all the variables.
4. Awesome to see The Throttle so pumped!

Camera position to the left of the flagstand (parallax error).
Image so blurry you can't even SEE the flagstand.
Fuzzy grayish vertical thing (a fence post?) obscuring CJ's front end.
Image so blurry it's also hard to clearly see CJ's car, let alone not being able to see the front end.
Throttle's car several feet down track, making it appear smaller (perspective), also making it look like it may be behind the other car even if it's not (perspective/parallax).
No clear indication of where the finish line actually is.

Yeah. Absolutely. No question.
Congrats to Shane and the Epperson team.
