Damaged Gaerte Chevy engine
 

Broke a rod bolt and chucked it out the side of the block.

Debris damaged the rod next to it. Has 3 good pistons and 2 good rods.

Head, Valve train, cam, and crank are fine.

Hole in the block that can be welded and fixed. If we were going to keep it we discussed just machining it and adding an inspection plate where the hole is.

Has Van Dyne injection, KSE water pump, Barnes oil pump, and French Grimes mag and a spike/boss motor plate.

With Powri opening up displacement rules on these Gaertes for next season this will be a strong motor. Already started on a different moto project or else I’d probably keep it. We were quoted $2800 to fix.
