Re: Terre Haute Wed July 16th

Hard to describe the sound and excitement of sprint cars on the great 1/2 mile Action Track. The place really hasn't changed too much since my first visit in 1965. The old guard rails are gone; pits outside the track; night racing and superior track preparation being on the list. Still get the same feeling coming into Vigo County FG that I have had for almost 50 yrs. Let's go racing!

treecitytornado 7/14/14 11:35 PM

Can we do the missing man salute to Gary Lee at this race and the remaining races of Sprint Week?

Why are the mods not on Terre Haute's schedule for Wed.? I wouldn't miss them on a mid-week show.

Re: Terre Haute Wed July 16th

Well, I just looked at the site and mods are on the schedule. I tell you, I looked the other day and saw nothing about mods, which was fine with me. Geez, hittin' 60 is scarier than I thought it would be.

Hotlaps for sprints at 6. I'm gonna guess it will be sprint hot laps, sprint qualifying, mod hot laps then into heats. Unless they run mods first but doubt it. Racing to follow hotlaps qualifying

Thanks guys. I'll be @ Terre Haute, Putnamville, and Bloomington. I ended up skipping the Burg because of the rain and my wife hates sitting in the bleachers at Kokomo. I had/have to work during Gas City and Haubstadt

Was kinda hoping they would leave the mods off the program. Oh well, the price you have to pay.

HARFprez 7/16/14 9:22 AM

but NO GLASS as usual, and for the grandstand seating i think they still follow the 14" rule.
Also HARF members, remember to show your CURRENT membership card for a $5.00 discount tonight.

Less down time. Between sprint races give drivers time to look at their equipment and make any changes. It will go smooth

SDHill89 7/16/14 10:39 AM

Does anyone happen to know what gas prices are in Terre Haute?

I'll be in the infield, turn 3 as usual. Come by and say "Hi." Stanbrough has been hot, and he's good at the Action Track. He's my pick.
