Modified driver death at Flora

If anyone hears of a go fund me page for this family and their funeral expenses please post. Didn't know the guy, but it sucks bad anytime we loose a fellow racer.

A driver at Route 45 Raceway near Flora was fatally injured in a crash during a race Sunday night.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Clay County Coroner's Office reported that 53-year-old Don Lamachia of Bluford was the driver involved.

The sheriff's office was notified at 10:34pm by Clay County 911 of a request for an ambulance and rescue at the raceway as a result of the crash.

Lamachia was taken to Clay County Hospital in Flora where he was pronounced dead.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. Clay county speedway has lost not only a driver but a good friend and fellow racer. Don lamachia was known to some as just another driver but to me a friend of my family.
My condolences go out to Don's family at this time. Please continue to pray for them all as they need it now more than ever.
Thank you and God bless.
Joey and crew.

Was the ambulance at the track at the time of the accident?
