Kurt Busch to run 2014 Indy 500

Kurt Busch and Andretti Auto Sport join together to contest 2014 Indy 500.

Busch set to drive the # 26 Andretti Auto Sport Dallara Honda thanks to Chevrolet, Gene Hass & Tony Stewart and Honda for working together so Kurt Busch could achieve his dream of competing in the Indianapolis 500.

Finally someone with the cajones to do this. Hopefully he bags it. Put him in rare company with Foyt Montoya and who else has won Indy and a NASCAR race?

Regardless of you personal feelings about his attitude, I hope this starts off a decade of this kind of racing. Hopefully Larson and maybe a few more can try this next year.

Let me guess you can’t pronounce his last name, or you feel he is taking an opportunity from your favorite wealthy European?

Wonder how it would sit with Smoke if Kurt won the 500? I know it's a BIG long shot, but.....

I may not be his biggest fan, but this is good news for the 500.

I am REALLY looking forward to the 2014 500, as it will be my 50th consecutive. Things have changed a lot since 1965, but I still feel a chill go up my spine when I walk into IMS. I've witnessed a lot of history; from Jim Clark to Tony Kanaan, the first 200 mph lap, the last roadster, the Novi, the turbine, the first female driver, and sadly seeing some perish while pursuing their dream.
