Chili Bowl format

My thought is running all the features on Saturday isn’t ideal for several reasons. I think a better way could be running the prelims from Sunday-Thursday. Friday night would be features from E on down. Saturday night would be features A-D. You’d have better track and air quality Saturday night and the B, C and D’s could be a few more laps. It was a shame to see rubber down for the A-main after such stellar track prep all week. Emmitt could sell another night worth of tickets and fans wouldn’t have to sit through a 13 hour marathon day.

Skip the pole dash...I know its only two cars on the track at a time, but the race was great before they had it (too).

Another thing that would enhance the shows greatly is group qualifying the heats. Invert the top 6 and then you would have more than one quality heat race per night.

no matter how they've prepped it, The tracks never lasted over 40 laps.

Lasted about 27 last night before it was all bottom. Actually about 22 but they didn't all migrate till 27

Friday night track was awful thurs wasn’t great but feature last night def went one lane early. Didn’t seem to bother Pursley though, he marched along ways.

Actually I’ve seen it last all 55 but it wasn’t racy until the last 15 due to too much re-prep. It all relates to running too many races in one day. Back in the 90’s there was 120-150 cars and the Saturday night A-mains were awesome. Those were the years that built it into what it is. Under my plan they’d run 160 or so each Friday and Saturday with ample time for proper track prep Saturday before races start.

I didn't watch a lap, but read stories wrote about each day. Was the race for the lead exciting on Friday, even with the terrible track? One of them made it sound like it was...

What was the BEST night of racing, for the lead in the feature? Any of them? The Shoot-out is bigger too...would that have affected the track on Monday?
