In the early or mid 1980's the had the Tri-Track series, tracks were Lincoln Park, Kokomo and Paragon?

Why is USAC a part of this? I'm just starting to learn the origins of Indiana Sprint Week but at least I'm trying to get some historical facts. There was an Indiana Sprint Week before USAC got involved in 1988. The people I've talked to so far and were original participants have slept since then, but what they all express in common is that USAC was not supposed to be involved. Just trying to figure out what happened.

Re: Indiana Sprint Weeks history...

The first Indiana Sprintweek was ran in 1988 with Randy Kinser winning the title.

USAC began sanctioning Indiana Sprintweek in 1996.

In 1988, 1989, and 1994, the series consisted entirely of winged races.

In 1990 & 1991, the series was a combination of both winged and non-winged races.

In 1992, 1993, and 1995-present, Indiana Sprintweek has had only non-winged events.
