i was looking at the results at florence speedway this past saturday night and noticed rocky hodges winning the "b" main and running mid pack in the feature. just wondering when he started driving lm's.

I don't know when he went back to them - but he began in late models and the first sprint car I saw him in was in the Gil Sonner George the Chili King sporsored car in the early 80's

that would be the 47 car wouldn't it ? didn't he drive for gil a couple of different times ?

Yes - it was the 47 - now I wouldn't proclaim definitively that this was his first sprint car but it was early on - but he really took the Knoxville Saturday night program a bit by surprise - he was quick right out of the box - and at that time he was always noted as a former late model racer
