This series has been started by Larry Gibson and Jim Shirey. It is based on full size open wheel cars with limited horse power engines. The cars are pretty much open. You can run a winged sprintcar, winged super modified, winged roadster, or even a rear engine car. The engines must run a 4 barrel carburetor and not make more than 430 horse power. Tires will be American racer 10 inch wide just like the smac, Oswego, and star 350 super modifieds run. All engines will have to pass through a dyno, certified on power, and sealed. It is based out of Lorain County Speedway and they are planning one show at Sandusky Speedway.

Also these two guy have raced damn near every form of open wheel car. There is a deal in the rules stating that any car that is dominating the field, can and will be penalized.

What is the name of the series?
|
They are calling it Outlaw Super Sprints. They already have a $5,000 point fund. I'm told they are hoping to have the rules set in the next week. A schedule has been drawn up and they are awaiting a final date.
