I like kirk, but as a series rep, should he be saying stuff about the tracks that are hosting USAC events? I know ive been known to sound off a few times and I have no room to talk either

Same here Chris but this is "THE EVENT" of the year and tracks should make it the best tracks of the year, so I can sympathize with Spridge...just my take

Re: brownstown ISW sprintweek race #5

According to Ballou - Cottle, Clayton and windom all missed top 24

Oh I understand completely and I agree, but in his position, and ive been in his position before, sometimes what you say could be bad for you. They just got done watering the track from what I was just told so hopefully things get better

Mini Sprints are the support class according to the schedule

fridaynightracer 7/14/11 7:56 PM

Very dusty. I believe the water truck pulled out onto the track under green flag conditions. Watering the track now. Heat one went to the pits

Yellow on lap 1. Heat 1. DUST
Posted via Mobile Device

wtvwrocks 7/14/11 7:58 PM

Have never seen anything like this - during green flag racing the water truck drives across the track with cars coming out of 4 - flagman throws a yellow and water truck begins watering track WHILE the cars are under yellow! So incredibly unsafe to have a giant water truck drive across the track during green flag!

From what ive been told - the water truuck driver is the promoter and he claimed he tried to notify usac on the radio but didn't get a response - since the fans were complaining about the dust he decided to just go for it and start watering! Heat 1 just now re-pushing

Wow, really hate to read the yellow had to come out for water truck. Sounds awfully similar to the Sumar.

Well I almost made the trip down there tonight, after hearing about the dust kinda glad I'm stayed at home. Don't get me wrong I would love to be at the track, but cant take the wife and kid to the track 3 nights in a row. Will be at Bloomington tomorrow.

Actually they've had about 36 hours to get it ready. They just had a Summer Nationals race there Tuesday. I knew it would be like that, that's why I didn't go.

EKracing 7/14/11 8:07 PM

Kokomo sprint week. I like the sound of that.

Still don't understand how Brownstown gets a sprint week show and Lincoln Park doesn't. I'm sure Spiker would have had an awesome track for Sprint Week.
