Little 500

Does anyone know if anyone know if any of the USAC pavement boys will attempt this years race? Congats to Tim Cox on winning at Baer Field. Can't wait for this years race!

There are a few already. Here is the entry list as of 5/9/11. Should be more cars appearing on this list in the next few days.

Gene Nolan has cars entered for Tony Elliott and Brent Beaucamp. Likely one of those.

In the USAC Pavement Sprint Series opener at Anderson the ex-Irwin car was the #25 of Shane Hollingsworth.

On the Little 500 entry list, the #25 is listed as Brent Beauchamp. So, I would guess that would be it.

I didnt see Chris Neuenshwander's name on the list?? Is he still in one of Ron Koehlers cars?

Re: Little 500

:8:Keep the information coming guys. While Wisconsin offers real good dirt racing for the sprinters we have very little pavement let alone those of the traditional kind. Will there be some V-6 powered cars there? Days are counting until my favorite 500, the little one.

short track scott 5/18/11 12:10 PM

Chris ran his 8 car in wing shows last season and Ron's stuff in the 500. This year he connected with the turn 2 fence in the Must See opener and has not rebuilt it.

Chris is running carts at the moment at Baer Field on Fridays.

He's a good shoe, but this one hurt $$$.

Jason is already entered in Dick Fieler's number 40x, and papa Tim is going to run the Tony and Deb Swanson number 7.
Does anyone know if a father and son has made the the Little 500 in the same year?

Re: Little 500

I think looking at the list so far the only real competition to Eric is the 2 Contos cars. They know how to run and win this race. There are some dark horses but those 3 have to be my main contenders unless someone else pops up at a later date on the entry list.

Re: Little 500

I'm betting on the #27 of Brian Gerster to the win, with rookie Kyle Weigand as my darkhorse for a top 5 finish.

When you are running that many laps on that small of a track, anything can happen.

I think Kyle will do well in this race because he has experience in distance races in his past. I know it is cliche', but it has to stay together to finish. He'll have to pick up the flow quickly, ut once he does he should be ok. Of course, if the big nasty happens we'll be drinking beer early.

Exit 26 is your best bet for finding the most places to eat. Pretty much your standard sit down and fast food places there.
