McIntosh

Amazing how almost every midget race I watch on Flo I hear Chet say "McIntosh gave him a shot in the shorts".

It seems he takes the full contact midget racing to the next level.

Gotta love TMEZ!!!!!
They should of let him keep going would of been one for the ages if I had to guess.

DJlives 10/8/22 11:45 PM

No. It wasnt going to do anyone any good for him to go further -- including him. Great job by Kristy holding on to the microphone

sprint38racer 10/9/22 12:14 AM

I remember when D.O. Laycock use to say “Gave him a little Rock Hudson”. 😂😂

Love all the pot shots at each other and the Im innocent B.S. The way midget racing is today. It's a wonder anyone shows up Haul it in there and hope the other guy backs out.
. Wow, I got four hundred to start and got two grand in repairs every race...........

Other than that I thought it was a good show. Thought Tmez might pull that out but he wasn't good on restarts and there's a lot of games that go on there too.

Tri state had a top for a change, was cool to see Stockon use it.

Say what you want about rich kids, KKM, TMez interviews, full contact etc, etc. To me, it’s very entertaining. And that’s what I’m here for!

No doubt, I agree! :32:

But... we also get to critique on where the line is drawn, and whether or not said line is stepped over. It's only fair. (And part of what makes this sport so much fun.) :D

McIntosh drove like a goon last night, worse than most nights

I really loved TMez's interview because it was totally true. The only person Cannon could ever drive for is his Daddy. The guy has been flat driving into people all season long.

The podium last night was great. Three guys who all respected each other. Bravo!

It's supposed to be entertainment, that's what people pay to see, entertainment.
T-Mez is an adult, he can handle any repercussions. I totally disagree with her taking the mic away. No pit reporter would ever stop a driver's rant in the upper echelons of racing. The whole place was waiting to hear what he had to say, but she cut him off?

She could have cut off Buddy who talked for 10 minutes, but didn't really say much of anything.

DJlives 10/9/22 9:12 PM

You never give up the microphone. That's the point. She was correct to hold on to it.

You nailed it. The cars have been built so drivers feel like they're in a full fender car and the fear of getting hurt is all but gone. I'm all for safety and quality built equipment, but I think if a few of these rich kids got hurt once in a while, some of this garbage might stop. If they drove these cars the same way 20 years ago before all of the full containment seats and other protective panels/equipment, there would have been someone seriously hurt or killed every week.

Im not totally agreeing with you But yes, A lot tend to drive that way till they get bad hurt once or twice.

Pancho Stapp 10/10/22 3:57 PM

It made me nervous when i heard Daison Pursley was going to strap back in and gas it. Talk about getting hurt, hokie smokes. Not categorizing that accident as dirty, but man you go for one hell of a ride in a midget.

Re: McIntosh

I'm not sure that I am on the same wavelengths as most of you guys with the midget deal. When I see someone make an overly aggressive move it doesn't always seem to be the young kids, I think you see some of the veterans do it too. I do agree that when the season started there were a lot of avoidable incidents but as the year has gone on and the rookies have gotten more comfortable I see less and less nasty moves. I was watching on Flo so I didn't get to see any of Cannon's dust-ups this weekend so I will not comment on that, but most of the accidents I have been seeing lately either have something to do with the cars taking a bounce or with someone switching lanes and coming down the track.

I like T-mezz and I love Tmezz TV on youtube, but you can't preach "Slide or Die" in every interview and then be upset when you get taken out by a slide to die for. JMO

Re: McIntosh

I think everyone wants close racing. These drivers are on the ragged edge lap after lap. I did not see this incident but, saw a lot more action that wasn't dirty. When you have a field that are that close, things will happen. The guys at the back are pretty close to as fast as the leaders. TMez was great coming thru the pack. I went to school for broadcasting. Rule number 1 is never give anyone the microphone.

That’s all well and good, but you don’t cut him off. You let the person being interviewed finish the rant. The only reason to cut them off is profanities… And even that is questionable on an online broadcast. But i’ll go check my old broadcast school text books just to be sure. 🙄

He may still be ranting if she didn’t take the mike back 😂 and I’m not saying she should of, but he didn’t appear close to being done.

Grocery Guy 10/10/22 10:00 PM

My favorite was when they were pushing McIntosh off the track after his final wreck. You could see left front end damage. Cannonball was gesturing in the car for probably a hook. I think the push vehicle driver said to himself "you're done for the night son".

Rpracing1 10/10/22 10:32 PM

Y’all whiners must watch NASCRAP.
Let him say his piece.
He wasn’t hurting anyone.
Quit sugarcoating stuff.
Bunch a creampuffs.
Snowflakes.
Doormats.
Feeling hurt much.
T-Mez for President! LOL.
Can’t wait for rebuttals.
Fire away.
Oh no, take the Mike….Jeez…

Without a doubt, yes she would have.

kb78 10/11/22 7:34 AM

Re: McIntosh

By the time Kristy had pulled the mic away T-mezz had said his peace and had gone into a ramble, she did the right thing in my opinion. There are other times when her or Drake have cut the driver off short when they get long winded albeit in a less dramatic fashion.

So for the people that were there, did you actually see the accident happen between Cannon and T-mezz? Was Macintosh in the wrong/overdriving? They did not have an angle on Flo.

Silly, Of course she would have, because everyone knows who wears the pants in that relationship.

Has USAC fined or suspended Mez yet?
ie:…..Balloudozer…..

Jack Hewitt ever raw….

Bob Kinser take that stogie and put it where…..

RIP SUPERDUKE…..

oppweld 10/11/22 7:55 AM

I'm no Leary fan, but all of the female pit reporters have been nothing but professional.

Dirtfan 10/11/22 9:47 AM

"Cannon Balled",same as "Slide or Die"? He's done his fair share.Just sayin..

DJlives 10/11/22 10:41 AM

Feel free to review every single interview Kristy has done with C J they have been professional and on point. Let's keep her personal life out of this.

To some people their facebook photos are a flaunt that reflects poorly on USAC. And I'm sure there are plenty who disagree.

Re: McIntosh

I think way too many of you guys have Old Man syndrome. You forget about BC, you forget about Grady Chandler, you forget about how far Daison Pursley has come back this year. About once a year, you will hear a story about a micro driver that is severely injured or killed while racing in a micro.

The safety has improved. There are many drivers have a silver spoon ride. However, please do not under estimate how dangerous midget/micro racing still is. The drivers may be too brave for their own good, but the comments on this board are out of line.

One thing you conspiracy theorists might not know is that DO held that famous Jack Hewitt interview for over a year so that Jack would not be fined or suspended. Thomas's interview was good the way it was. The only sport that I have seen a person being interviewed take the mic, is wrestling. Let's hope we never get to that point. The longer it goes, the more it would have dragged on. I still thought his drive from the back was great, and people want to talk about the interview.

Nut'n but Dirt 10/12/22 6:47 AM

Re: McIntosh

Let's face the facts here. TMez has done his own dirty driving in the past as well, and so has many of the drivers in midget and sprint car racing. I'm not sure you can point to any of the drivers today and say they haven't taken someone out. It is not intentional, and part of racing.
